On October 25th, 2020, over 100 families decorated their cars and put on their Halloween costumes to attend the Local Savvy AZ Halloween car parade. The afternoon was filled with entertainment, photo opps, goodie bags and plenty of sweet treats!
The Scottsdale Fire Department welcomed cars as the parade kicked off with live music from McDowell Mountain Music Lessons. While the student band played classic hits, cars began trick or treating at stations throughout the route. Cafe Au Plait caffeinated the parents with festive coffee and sweetened the mood for kids with decedent donuts.
At each station, families stopped to collect candy and giveaways from our sponsors and the friendly teachers and staff from Casy Preschool. Scottsdale Public Library welcomed cars with bookmarks and candy and the Scottsdale Police Department waved at cars from horseback while their team passed out stickers and candy. Pitched Phx wowed the attendees with a glamping tent set up in the middle of the parking lot, showing us that you truly can glamp from just about anywhere!
Just when families thought the fun was over, the Cooking School surprised families with deliciously deconstructed candy apples to take home and decorate! Casy Preschool celebrated families from their preschool play-yard and Ariel from Once Upon A Tiara waved goodbye as each family left with a goodie bag filled with more treats!
We would like to thank the families who joined us for this special event at a safe, social distance. Times are a little different right now, but we want to continue to find ways to bring smiles to your face!
